Spicy katla fish recipe with curd/ doi katla
instructions:
In a mixing bowl take the curd along with turmeric powder, cumin powder, kashmiri red chilli powder and mix it well and keep it aside .
Clean the fish pieces and marinate with 1/2 tablespoon of Turmeric powder and 1 tablespoon of salt.
Then take a kadai or a pan heat it and pour 4 table spoons of mustard oil in it and put the fishes into it. Fry the fishes a little until it becomes brown.After frying take the fishes into a bowl and keep it aside.
- Again pour 1 table spoon of mustard oil into the same kadai and add cardamom, cinnamon, green chili or red dried chilli. When it smells then add the onion paste and stir it untill it becomes brown. After that add ginger paste and stir it for 5 min. Then add water into kadai and add salt. After 2 minutes, pour the prepared curd into the kadai and let it be boiled for 2 minutes.
- Now put the fish pieces into the kadai and let it be boiled for 5 minutes. If you love the aroma of garam masala, add it to the recipe at last. 6.Serve it with hot ricce in lunch.
